Sgt. Tracy Morgan – Negotiator of the Year Award

    The Sgt. Tracy Morgan – Negotiator of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding member of the Louisiana Association of Crisis Negotiators (LACN) who has demonstrated exceptional professionalism, dedication, and performance in the field of crisis and hostage negotiation.

    Following the announcement at the 2025 LACN Conference, the Regional Training Directors nominate members each month for the Negotiator of the Month award. Nominations are submitted for individuals who go above and beyond during call-outs or who provide exceptional support and leadership within their respective negotiation teams. Each month, the Regional Training Directors and the Executive Board review the nominations and vote to select the recipient.

    The Negotiator of the Month recipients become eligible for the Sgt. Tracy Morgan – Negotiator of the Year Award, which will be presented annually. The inaugural recipient will be selected by the membership during the 2026 LACN Annual Training Conference.

    This award honors the legacy of Sgt. Tracy Morgan and recognizes those who embody the highest standards of professionalism, teamwork, leadership, and commitment to the mission of crisis negotiation.
